Posted on Thu, 8 Jun 2017
Question: Awoke 2nights ago and left groin felt like a mild sprain,It was not bad all day but got much worse come night. I went to bed thinking it would feel better but it has gotten much worse. Terrific pain, can feel it more every time the heart beats. I have never had any problems with arthuritis in my hips, and this feels nearer to the outer surface. It hurts but it feels the best sitting in this hard chair.

Brief Answer:
X-ray should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

Have you had any injury recently? Do you perform any physical exercise? Do you have abdominal aorta aneurysm?

Your symptoms might be caused by a hernia, hip fracture (even without an injury). I suggest you to consult your doctor. X-ray should be done at first. Ultrasound should be done as well.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
