Question: My dermatologist recently took a small for a biopsy in the area of my carotid artery. That area is now pulsating with my heart beat. It was not doing that before. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Nothing serious
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Pulsation of carotid artery and it's superficial branches may be felt normally in neck and lateral side of face.
Skin biopsy is superficial and doesn't lead to such change in pulsation .
You should continue treatment as advised and get examined by a physician.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

1 is it normal for the pulsation to be observed on the right side but not on the left side?
2. Why would it start after a biopsy? I did not notice it before.

Brief Answer:
Get examined and investigated as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The feeling of pulsation depends upon location of vessel near to surface and palpation of the same.
Asymmetrical pulsation may be present and needs assessment for any carotid atherosclerosis by doppler study.
If the biopsy procedure was without complications, then nothing to worry about.
