What Causes Purple Reddish Mark On Penis?
?? Bruise if positive history of masturbation
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. A purple-reddish mark on the penis (without any elevation) is usually the sign of a bruise. It is most certainly not due to any sexually transmitted infection, and if your description is precise then this is most probably due to rough or hard masturbation. Could you recall when this presentation appeared, and if it was a while (may be even a day) after you had masturbated? If yes, then it is clear why this patch has appeared.
If not, please write back to me at the earliest so I can guide you from there on.
In the future, make sure you are well lubricated while masturbating and for now please make sure you do the following:
-Keep the region clean and dry
-Do not masturbate or indulge in sexual contact of any sort for a while
-If possible, apply an ice pack over your clothes over the region
The bruise will heal on its own in a few weeks time and does not really require much to be done. I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.
Best wishes.
Atrached are two photos of the spot on my penis. The spot seems to be lighted today but almost more sensitive. I hope the photos help in the diagnosis.
Looks like a healing bruise
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.
Yes indeed, the images do help. It does seem to me like a bruise sir, and the fact that it is getting lighter indicates a pattern of a healing bruise. In my opinion there is nothing to worry about, and just continue to allow it to heal and avoid masturbation and sexual contact until fully healed sir.
I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further assistance sir. I am always available to help.
Best wishes and take care.
The spot in question has started to get dry and rough... Is this normal of a healing bruse ?the color remains about the same and i believe it has reduced in size some .
Old & damaged replaced by new & healthy
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.
Yes sir, it is a part of the healing process. The superficial layer which was bruised will slowly dry and peel off, to be replaced by a new layer of cells and tissue. Do not worry about it, I am sure not long from now you should be completelt healthy and have healthy looking privates pnce again.
Wishing you lots of luck.
