What Causes Purple Rings On The Penile Shaft Along With Left Side Bend When Flaccid?
Question: Hi Dr.,
After masturbating very frequently over the past few weeks I noticed some purple like rings around my shaft maybe 3/4 of an inch behind the head. I've also noticed a new thick vein or cord like thing present on the right side of my shaft all the way from bottom to top (i'm left handed btw) and when flaccid the penis tends to lean towards the left. When I attempt to masturbate now I feel mild discomfort, on some strokes I feel a dullish pain slightly down my thigh and somewhere possibly inside my pelvic region (hard to pinpoint). I'm too sensitive to continue masturbating, do you believe this to be anything serious? What are your thoughts, suggestions?

Based on the facts and photographs that you have posted the purple ring that you have noticed around penis proximal to glans is a line of demarcation developed between glans penis which has rich blood supple and a normal penile skin with comparatively less blood supply due to frequent masturbation.
There is no conclusion to be drawn or to be worried about.
As regards a dilated vein on right side it is dilated tributary of Lateral Superficial Vein of penis and is seen in many individuals /It is not going to harm your sexual potency nor affect erection.
The pain that you get in thigh and pelvis is a referred pain due to frequent vigorous masturbation. There is nothing to be worried about it. Practice gentle masturbation with care to lubricate penis well with using lubricant.
