Question: some of my toenails have recently shown purple spots. What would cause this? Could it be a fungus?

It is looking like onychimycosis.
I treat such patients with oral Fluconazole and topical clotrimazole cream.
This gives good response but treatment needs to be continued for at least 6 months .
