What Causes Puss In Stools?

Question: Ive noticed puss in my stools recently ranging from clear/white/yellowish..its a jelly like substance..should i be concerned?

Do you have pain while passing stools or has your stool frequency increased?

We need to to decide if its Pus or mucus as both can appear similar.
I would suggest you get a stool microscopy examination. In case it doesn't show presence of pus cells you need not be alarmed.

If stool exam is normal and its only mucus i would suggest no treatment unless you are having abdominal discomfort or increased stool frequency
