What Causes Rash On Face, Arms And Back?
Question: Hello, my 6 month old son has a rash on his face, arms, torso but it is worst on his back and hot spots (elbows, knees, behind the ears). The rash is made up of many tiny red bumps some forming large spots with tiny white centres. He does not have a fever and he is eating and urinating as usual. The rash began 5 days ago but overnight it flared up.

Brief Answer:
looks like tinea
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to health care magic.
The description and the photos look like tinea infection.
Tinea is fungal infection of skin.
Sweating and lack of air circulation in the skin folds could be few reasons.
I usually prescribe local clotrimazole for such babies.
Also apply emolients like calamine lotion.
Wearing loose clothes would help.
