What Causes Rashes All Over Body With Headache?
Question: My 7yr old nephew has a rash all over his body. We do not know what it is from. He has had a bad headache the past few days. He has been playing a lot outside. Is this something we should be concerned about?

There is most likely possibility of Urticaria here from the picture you uploaded.
Urticaria or allergic hives can occur due to various causes like,
1) Infections(bacterial, viral, fungal)
2) Drugs(Pain killers/ antibiotics etc)
3) Certain foods and food additives/preservatives
4) Physical Urticaria: Cold temperature, Heat, Pressure (Prolonged Standing, Sitting), Dermographism etc.
5) A few cases have no underlying cause and are known as idiopathic urticaria.
They generally disappears after few hours without any treatment.
So,if he is suffering from urticaria then first thing you don't have to worry.
It subsides by itself or he may be given antihistamines like,
1) benadryl 25 mg or cetrizine 5mg once daily available over the counter
OR
2) cetrizine syrup 2TSF twice daily for a week and the rashes will go away.
A topical soothing lotion like calamine would help her symptomatically if there is itching.
For headache,he may be given syrup ibugesic plus 2TSf once at a time.
