Brief Answer:
Urine analysis/vaginal swab testing and culture advised as following...

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I am sorry for the unbearable situation you are going through.

1. You are saying that you are 12 weeks pregnant. It is normal during pregnancy to have urinary tract infection and genital infection too.

2. Chlamydia infection is a bacterial genital infection that should be taken seriously during pregnancy. Can you please confirm if you have this infection? I hope you are not.

3. Unbearable burning when you pee, a lot of discharge with odor and rash in the pelvic region are suggestive for genital infection. A vaginal swab testing and culture are advised to determine the right causative and/or to exclude Chlamydia. Please take note that Chlamydia infection is characterized by the same symptoms as you are having now.

4. The open sores/cut with rash in pelvic area are also sign of fungal infection which is common during pregnancy. However, examination of vaginal swab and culture testing will determine/rule it out.

5. An urine analysis is also advised to see if you are also having UTI and treated it correctly.

6. For the moment, I advise to:
- discuss with your gyno about the above-mentioned tests in order to determine the right diagnosis and take appropriate treatment.
- keep good local hygiene
- apply clotrimazole+metronidazole cream locally to help ease rash and help sores healing process.
- avoid sexual intercourse
- increase fluids intake
- avoid eating high carb foods

Hope it was of help!

Brief Answer:
Possible candida infection following antibiotic treatment...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Thank you for your updates.

Now, as you have already taken medications for Chlamydia, please take note that they are antibiotics. Usually the antibiotics will alter the normal flora of the GI tract resulting in candida co-infection.

The symptoms of candida infection include rash that would end up with painful sores. You should keep the area well cleaned, and apply antiseptic lotion locally. After that, an OTC anti-fungal cream can be used (containing clotrimazole) with zinc oxide to help healing of the affected skin.

You can discuss this further with your gyno and take proper treatment. Please do regular check ups for Chlamydia with gyno as you might need another course of medications.

Wish fast recovery! Good luck to both you and your baby!
