What Causes Rashes On Skin Post Recovering From Upper Respiratory Infection?
Question: Dear dr,
My 18 months boy developed rashes a few days after he recovered from his upper respiratory infection. He fever had since gone down. Now he had some rashes on his chest and back. The PD we saw earlier did tell us to take note that rashes will developed after the infection subside.
I had attached photo for your reference. My boy seemed uneasy and itchy on that. Why is it that rashes developed?can I powder him? I had some corticosteroid cream is it necessary ?

Brief Answer:
Pyoderma, allergic rash, viral rash
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to this forum.
Can understand your concerns.
This type of rash after an upper respiratory tract infection could be due to allergic rash, Measles, Pyoderma infection or viral rash.
I think that you should answer a few queries like
Is the rash present all over the body?
Are there any increase in them,?
Are they increasing or decreasing?
In my opinion, You should give Syrup atarax Which contains hydroxyzine 5 ml 3 times a day for 3 days for itching.
Review with above queries.
I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
