What Causes Rashes On The Legs?

Question: I HAVE A RASH ON MY LEGS THAT APPEARED SUDDENLY YESTERDAY. THE AFFECTED AREAS ARE NOT LEGIONS LIKE POISON IVY OR SEVERAL RAISED BUMPS TOGETHER LIKE CHIGGERS, THEY ARE MORE LIKE HIVES: A FEW ON EACH FOOT, EACH LEG & ON MY BUTTOCKS BUT NOT MY GENITALS. NONE ON MY ARMS, CHEST/STOMACH OR BACK. I WAS IN THE WOODS YESTERDAY SO AT DIRST I SUSPECTED CHIGGERS UNTIL LOOKING AT PICTURES OF THEIR BITES.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I have checked the attached image. It could be due to an allergic reaction to an insect bite. Taking some antiallergic like cetirizine or benadryl (or possibly better ones like fexofenadine or loratidine which are prescription medicines) should help. You could also apply some emollient like calamine lotion or some moisturizer like aloe vera lotion.

It might take a few days to recover and so you need to be patient. Be on the lookout for associated symptoms like fever. If you develop fever it would be a good idea to visit a doctor and to get yourself evaluated.
