What Causes Rectal Bleeding And Back Pain After A Fall?

Question: Hi, my question is in regards to an incident that occurred over the summer. I had a birthday party this past summer at the end of August. My one girlfriend came over and decided to drink even though she hasn't drank in almost a year. She ended up drinking too much (liquor) and falling outside. Outside there was a deck the came to the edge of an out of ground pool. The deck is somewhat elevated from the side of the pool. Her leg went in between the deck and the pool causing her to straddle the deck. Me and a male friend helped her up and she stated her knee hurt so we have her ice. She ended up becoming sick. She began throwing up and eventually dry heaving. Me and the male friend took turns taking care of her, holding her hair back giving her water etc. she began to complain of stomach pain and how it hurt so bad. She eventually did fall asleep. I left my male friend in the room for a short time, but another friend stepped in and saw him sitting on the floor playing on his phone. Almost three months later my girlfriend states she say a doctor a couple days after the party and states she was sexually assaulted. (sent me a screen shot of the diagnosis). She is now blaming my male friend, because he was in the room alone with her. I just can't believe she was assault there was no time. She said she suffered internal injury to her Anus. She stated she had internal/external Hemorrhoids, "internal injury" and lost all control of her bowels (not sure how long) I believe she say the Doctor the Tuesday After the party, which was on Saturday. She doesn't remember falling or the rest of the evening except waking up in the middle of the night feeling a sharp pain in her lower back, but no one was around her. She even stayed for a couple hours the next morning and no complaint of injury except her knee. Could these injuries have been caused from falling? Could this straddle fall have caused these injuries? Also this girl has been suffering from anorexia and bulimia since she was 9 yoa (now 29). She has abused laxatives off and on and made exercise an addiction in place of anorexia and bulimia. Could the damage to the body along with the fall has made her more susceptible to these injuries? I'm trying to help a friend because he is being blamed for the assault and I know he didn't do anything.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query!

As per your query answers are as following--

1) yes the injuries could be caused due to falling.
2) In case of anal sex or molestation there would be traces of sperms and other secretions of penis in area around anus and inside the anus.

Pubic hairs of male is present in the area of victim's body

Internal injuries to anal canal can be because of fall,Presence of anal injuries by no way proves sexual assault. On top of that, the girl should have raised a complaint at that time and not months after that incident.

Sharp pain in back was due to severe fall. Anorexia and bullemia are both pyschiatric disorders. A pyschiatric patient is certainly quite fragile mentally.

Too much liquor consumption can also cause deliriums in which a patient for a short interval of time may feel things which have not happened.

Please consult a Psychiatrist (in person) and a forensic medicine specialist in this regard. However as months have passed by, this accident its highly unlikely that forensic specialist will find any thing useful now.

It's better to take the her to a psychiatrist for complete in person clinical evaluation of her mental status.

As per your question, yes damage from the fall must have made the patient more susceptible to the injuries.

A detailed investigation of anal canal by protoscope (by either a Gen surgeon/Proctologist) and a detailed review by psychiatrist should be done.

Thanks!

She wont tell me what procedures were done, i am almost positive she saw a gastrologist. The male in question even offered to give DNA. She wont speak to me about rhis anymore, all she did was screen shot tje diagnosis. My question is could she have been misdiagnosed if the fall wasnt described as a straddle fall since she didnt remember, or if she left the information about the fall out completely? Couldnt the abuse of laxatives over time paired with this fall have caused these symptoms/damage?

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

Abuse of laxatives could have caused the symptoms.

And yes she could've been misdiagnosed initially, if she presented any wrong history. The direction of thought process of any doctor depends on the through history provided by the patient, so if history was malafied or incomplete, yes diagnosis can be different.

Thanks!
