Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thanks for sending the question.

Your symptoms are somewhat concerning. This is not a typical sequence of events after a colonoscopy. It is possible that your salt balance was disturbed by the preparation for the colonoscopy.

I would monitor your symptoms very closely. If you continue to have discharge and if you continue to have difficulty urinating I think you need to contact your doctor for a physical examination. Your doctor might request some laboratory tests or possibly a urinalysis to do further work up.

this is not necessarily urgent but I would say if the symptoms persist for over 12 to 24 hours it should be investigated. In the meantime make sure you maintain adequate hydration and adequate well-balanced diet.

Thank you again for sending your question. Have a very good day.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
