Brief Answer:
This could be mucus retention cyst. Needs removal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question and the image.
I can understand your concern.

The history and image suggestive of mucus retention cyst. This is harmless, nothing to worry.

Since the gargling is not helping. This has to be removed surgically. This will be a minor procedure and again nothing to worry.

Consult an ENT doctor for the same.

You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.

Brief Answer:
It is not infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your follow up.
Mucus accumulation from the salivary gland and it not infection.
Oral cancer is dangerous and far different from these. You will have different growth like ulcerative and it will not subside on its own.
Regarding home remedies, you have already tried salt water gargling.
You can go for local injection steroids.
This less invasive compared to excision.

Hope I have cleared your doubt's.
