Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for the details.
So,he had an infection few weeks back, which was treated with antibiotics cefuroxime and levofloxacin,to which he responded.
As he got it again after 2weeks,azithromycin was added, and now he is responding and the infection is coming down,so not to be worried.
If the fever comes back again, we may need to have some investigations like blood culture, urine culture, CSF study etc, followed by intravenous antibiotics for a few days. Your doctor will guide in this.
For now,as your doctor advised, you continue the antibiotics and followup with him.
Meanwhile have adequate rest,a light diet rich in fruits and veges and enough fluids.
Adequate blood sugar control is necessary for smooth recovery and to prevent future recurrences.
Hope, now I have cleared your doubt. If you don't have further questions, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wishing a faster cure,thank you.
