What Causes Recurrent Mild Fever Despite A Normal Blood Work?
some investigations are needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it will be helpful if you give more details like-
1. Any decrease in appetite?
2. Any decrease in weight?
I would suggest that you should get yourself investigated for following :-
1. Liver Function Test (LFT)
2. ELISA Test for T.B.
Long standing mild fever should be investigated for Hepatitis and Tuberculosis.
A clinical examination along with reports of the above mentioned investigations will help in planning further medical management.
You should also maintain 8 hour temperature charting to see the pattern of your fever.
I would suggest that you can take paracetamol 500 mg for high grade fever.
Drink lots of water daily.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
I would suggest that you should get both the investigations done.
Liver Function Test (LFT) will help to know the level of liver enzymes which is not known by Ultrasound of the abdomen.
Moreover Elisa test for T.B. will rule out tubercular infection, if any.
I hope this answers your query.
Thanks.
Thank you so much.I will do these investigation immediately. If you dont mind i will tell another symptoms which was for one month.I.e.I had a forehead pain(feeling like weight) and below knee abnormality in my legs. Now these symptoms again came back yesterday.I guess when i replaced paracetamol -500mg(as you suggested) for antibiotic (paraxin) for yesterday.i got this symptoms again now.So my doubt is whether any bacterial infection will be in the brain such as meningitis.......Kindly help me doctor to find out the problem.sorry to disturb u once again.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Location of your headache does not suggest towards meningitis. Frontal headache can be usually associated with :-
1. Change in refractive power of the eyes.
2. Sinusitis
3. Tension headache.
As I have earlier mentioned a clinical examination by your local doctor will help in planning further medical management. Also get your eyesight tested if there is any problem in vision.
I hope this answers your query.
Thanks.
