What Causes Recurrent Miscarriages?
You can safely wait for one week
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Your doctor has prescribed you medical method of abortion by giving you mifepristone followed by misoprostol, in appropriate doses. The medical method of abortion is a bit time taking process and hence a observation period of 15 days is allowed since the day of giving mifepristone.
Since on ultrasound it is showing that the products of conception has come into cervix, the process of abortion has started and will complete in the coming days as the internal os ( opening of the cervix) opens.
Your doctor has given given you antibiotic coverage, so chances of infection are minimal nad you can safely wait for next 10 days.
I would suggest you to get your ultrasound repeated after15 days of mifepristone intake, and if abortion has not occurred even then , you have to undergo surgical method of abortion.I suggest you not to worry.
Moreover, I would like to get yourself investigated for the cause of recurrent miscarriages around 6 weeks after this miscarriage.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

Thank you for prompt answer. My doctor already suggested me to get myself investigated since i had 2 miscarriages. If i have to undergo surgical method of abortion ,how risky is that? Will it bring me any complications in future?
Rare risks and complications are there
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for responding. Surgical abortion is a safe procedure if done by a trained OBGYN specialist. However, sometimes it is associated with risks like excessive bleeding during the procedure, post procedure infection in uterus and very rarely uterine perforation, but is is very very rare if done by a specialist.
In long term, surgical method of abortion can lead to uterine lining ( endometrial) problems like decreased or no periods due to post procedure infection or formation of adhesions in endometrium leading to little or no periods( Asherman syndrome). This leads to decreased fertility. But these complications are very rare, and even more rare when done properly and under antibiotic coverage.
Be positive, as your ultrasound is suggestive that you will most probably abort by medical method only.
