What Causes Recurrent Mouth Ulcers?
Need some more information
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to answer your query.
Since you are facing recurrent mouth ulcers I would be glad to know some information to help you better-
How often do you have mouth ulcers?
When do they become more?Do you suspect any stressors like food such as chocolate, coffee, peanuts, almonds, strawberries, cheese, tomatoes and wheat flour?
Do you have stress factors? Are you anxious?May I know the nature of your job?
Does it involve night work/shifts?
Do you smoke?Do you have any dental problems?Have you got braces on your teeth?
Any history of recent infection, medication history(analgesics)?
Are your bowels regular?
I were also to do labs(complete blood report, serum ferritin) to rule out anemia.
Kindly upload the test reports if you have got any investigations at your end.
Feel free to share the information to help you better.
Await your reply soon.

Hi dear. Thanks for sharing the information.
Vitamin deficiency is one of the most common causes for mouth ulcers. This is more likely in your case too.Certain foods in my opinion are precipitating factors.Avoid the same as far as possible.
Ulcers heal within 1 week to 10 days.Ulcers of concern only when they are very frequent or if they are long standing, taking much time to heal.
Dentacain is a local anesthetic gel which relieves ulcer pain and thus hastens healing.Incase you do not get adequate relief I were to suggest Mucopain(Benzocaine gel) which I prescribe for most of my patients.Apply(either of them) 4-5 times a day for 4-5 days.Complete the B-complex course suggested by your doctor.Other medications would not be required.
I would suggest a few tips-
1.Eat a healthy balanced diet rich in vitamins.Increase the servings of fruits and vegetables for your meal.
2.Maintain good oral hygiene.Brush atleast twice a day.
3.Drink 4-5 liters of water/day.
This looks like a healthy mouth ulcer to me.Do no panic.Get well soon.
