What Causes Recurrent Pimples On Cheeks When Diagnosed With HSV-1?

HSV-1 if no genital lesion;it is oral herpes...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully. Thank you for providing the photos for a more accurate answer. Unfortunately, I admit the quality of the photos was not good enough to identify details on the pimples you got on your cheeks. Can you please resend a higher-quality photo?
1. HSV1 is a common viral infection affecting both genital and non-genital parts (e.g. mouth, lips).
2. Please take note that this virus can be dormant and pass the latency period in the nervous system. From some reasons, the virus can turn active and cause outbreaks. This explains why you get the virus after few years from the last outbreak.
3. As long as the lesions are not present in your genitals, then, it is oral HSV1. Again, the quality of the photos you provided did not allow a profound evaluation of your cheeks pimples.
Hope it answered to your query! Let me know if you have further questions!

I have also attached similar image related to pimples near lip which I had many times in past.
Thx for new photos;pimples seem to be related to acne¬ hsv1 outbreak
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your new photos. They are clearer than the first ones.
I have gone through them, and I can say that the pimples you are having for the moment, seem to be acne (skin infection) and not a herpetic outbreak to me.
Although you might have a personal history of herpes (and that's not as bad as its name); however, for the moment, you are having acne problems to my opinion, especially if:
- you have an oily skin
- it's hot where you live
If I was your caring doctor would advise to run culture of pimples swab to determine the right causative agent and treatment.
For the moment, I advise to:
- keep your face well clean
- wash with warm water and deep cleansing soap;
- rinse immediately with cold water after washing
- dry well
- can apply skin ointment containing benzoyl peroxide and erythromycin cream locally
All the best!

Perhaps due to oral hsv1 coinfected with bacterial infection or primary
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Sorry for the late reply due to my XXXXXXX clinical overload.
With regards to the pimple on your lips, from what I've noted, it was filled with pus. Perhaps, it could be from hsv1 coinfected with bacterial infection or a primary bacterial infection. A close observation is required in this case. In either cases, it was infected with bacterial infection.
Hope it answered to your query!
