Brief Answer:
It looks like inflammatory disease of eyelids.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to health care magic

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that you are having recurrent episodes of swelling of eyelids as seen in the photo attached with the question.

This can be because of inflammation of the eye lids or surrounding structures like sinusitis.
If you are having symptoms of cold, running nose... it confirms diagnosis of sinusitis.

If you are not having these symptoms then it is because of inflammatory condition of the eyelids either because of infection or allergies.
The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye ointments for infections and anti allergic drugs for allergies. Use of mascara is better avoided as it can also cause allergy. Applying cold compression provides symptomatic relief.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
With regards

The problem is rather confusing.Everytime she has a pain killer like combiflame or saridon she has this swelling.swelling is never associated with running nose but when last time doctor prescribed for sinus infection, this swelling stopped for aprox 3 months.whenever she has this swelling doctor asked to use steam, after using steam the swelling stops growing further but does not goes away ,followed by mild fever.swelling takes atleast 1 day to go.plz prescribe any test or medicine .

Brief Answer:
Diagnosis of sinusitis needs to be confirmed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to health care magic
Thank you for the follow up question.

Since the swelling shows response to treatment for sinus infection this is more likely secondary to inflammation of the sinuses.
Since the swelling is recurrent it can be chronic sinusitis.
This can be confirmed by taking radiological tests like X ray or preferably CT scan. Depending on the results the treatment can be planned for chronic sinusitis.
For treatment of swelling you can take antiinflammatory drugs and do hot compression.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor preferably specialized in ENT for further evaluation by X ray or CT scan and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Brief Answer:
Chronic conditions are not dangerous.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up.
Chronic means which persists for more time without much symptoms.
Generally we refer any condition which persists for more than 3 months as chronic.
Chronic conditions are not dangerous and it is acute conditions which are usually dangerous.
Hence no need to worry. If it is chronic sinusitis it can be treated with medications completely and this will prevent recurrences..

Hope the information is helpful to you.
