I have a few questions for you
Detailed Answer:
Hi...Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
My questions for you-
1. How many days of fever is this?
2. Has he lost weight significantly?
3. How is his appetite?
4. Apart from fever and this small lymph node over back, what are the other symptom he has - like cough and breathlessness / bring sensation during passing urine?
Kindly get back to me with answers to above questions.
Regards - Dr. Sumanth

This is viral illness - nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX..this is viral illness. Nothing to worry. As i said in my last interaction - Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness.
I don't think it has got any relation to his mother's condition.
Such viral illnesses can occur even monthly twice or thrice. Nothing to worry if the kid is active and gaining weight well.
