What Causes Recurring Itchy Rashes All Over Body?

Question: I gave my dog three doses of amoxicillin having to break the capsule and put it in a dropper with water. I am allergic to amoxicillin but thought it would be fine to do. I broke out with all over body rash and some swelling. I went to the ER and they gave me some steroid and Pepcid and benedryl putting it into my vein. The next day I was good till night time and it all came back. He gave me a prescription for steroids for one time a day for 4 days. Once again tonight I am covered again and itching very badly. Will the steroids and benedryl by pill get rid of this soon
Brief Answer:
It would go with time.

Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
The drug takes time to leave the body. Moreover, the absorption of drug in your case seems to be from skin absorption or inhaled route.
In such scenario, the best would be to continue to steroids for at least 5 days and continue anti allergic like Benadryl for a week.
Initially, if you see that the lesions are increasing in number then you can ask your doctor to give you injectable steroid shot.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
