What Causes Recurring Mild Brown And Pinkish Vaginal Discharge?
Question: Hello, I am having little brown discharge. I have also some off and on again little pink to bright red blood. I am also on birth control, finishing my 6th month pack. This has been going on for a couple days now, i thought it was me starting my period, but this seems a bit abnormal for me. I have only had unprotected sex twice (ever in my life) in January but my partner "pulled out" before anything could happen. I did have my period in January and everything was normal. I haven't missed a pill, but I have taken my pill at an earlier time (15-30 minutes) before the usual time that I would a couple of times. Since my last period I have only had sex once and it was protected. I don't know what is going on and I am a bit worried.
Brief Answer:
Not due to pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The mild brown and pink discharge that you are having can happen due to mild hormonal disturbances while taking the pill. There is no need to worry. This is not suggestive of pregnancy. Since you are taking the pills regularly without missing any pill, you need not worry. This discharge is likely to subside on its own without any treatment.
