What Causes Recurring Sinus, Tooth, And Urinary Tract Infections?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Mar 2015
Question: What could possibly be causing me to continue to have recurring infections? Where should I seek medical advice? I have been told not to take Bactrim after starting it and another test showed I am resistant to it. This is starting to become a frequent problem gradually. I've been on 3 antibiotics in the past 3 months for sinus, tooth, and urinary tract infections and inflammation. I'm getting tired of feeling sick and hurting from an infection. The past two years have been the most worst. Thanks for your time and help.

Brief Answer:
Should be tested for conditions of low immunity

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
One gets frequent infection due to reasons. First is frequent exposure to infections and the second is having a condition like diabetes or other diseases that decrease immunity. You should see a specialist in Internal Medicine and have investigations to exclude conditions causing decreased immunity.
Also take care to avoid exposure to infections as far as possible.
