What Causes Recurring Testicular Pain?

default
Posted on Sat, 30 Aug 2014
Question: I'm 18 years old. About 5 days ago I had sudden pain in my left testicle, but it went away after about five minutes. But pain keeps reoccuring, but its in my right testicle. Also since that day i havent been able to maintain a hard erection. But i have been not getting enough sleep only about 6 hours a day. Should i go to the ER if pain keeps persisting. The pain is very light almost as if it feels numb. There is no swelling or redness. Also the right testicle is hanging lower than before. Should i be worried? Also what should i do about not being able to get a full erection? Also it does not hurt when i exercise.

Brief Answer:
To rule out Torsion Testis

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

The cause of your problem to erection is possibly related to testicular pain. Pain in Testis usually causes theses symptoms.
Presence of Intermittent Pain in Testis possibility of Torsion of Testis needs to be ruled out. Exact diagnosis is possible by clinical examination . The pain is due to Varicocele or Torsion can be conclusively arrived only after that. I would suggest you to consult your Physician for further assessment.
