Brief Answer:
Blepharitis

Thanks for contacting HCM with your helath care concerns

YOu are experiencing redness swelling and itchy eyelids with possible loss of eye lashes. This sounds like you have blepharitis which is inflammation from either infection of the eye lashes or allergic reaction to something in your environment. The treatment for both will be the same. I recommend something called eyelash washes or scrubs. You take XXXXXXX baby shampoo and dilute by 1/2 and then scrub your eyelids with the shampoo. this helps remove debris for infection and allergy and allows for healing to take place.

If this does not work then you may have a more significant allergy problem and need topical low dose steroid cream but I don't recommend using steroids on the eye lids due to proximity to the eye and the effect of steroids on the eye.
