What Causes Red And Painful Bump Back Of The Tongue?

Question: For the past 2 days a bump in the back of my tongue has been bothering me. It looks like an inlfamed taste bud altough a bit bigger in size. It only hurts (mouth sore like pain, or stinging) when it comes in contact with something else like food or when i swallow and it touches the roof of my mouth.
As you can see in the pictures the bump is only a bit darker at the top and red at the bottom
I hope is nothing serious and I like to get rid of it as it is bothering.
Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Haemangioma of tongue
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query and images; they suggest that most probably you maybe suffering from the haemangioma of tongue but to rule out other disease please send me the high definition image of that region by laryngoscopic examination or consult with your ENT specialist for the same .
For your information, haemangioma of tongue generally require no intervention, but 10-20% require treatment.. In general, the treatment of small hemangiomas that do not compromise function is observation.
