What Causes Red Blotches All Over The Body?

Question: My has broke out with red blotches on his body from the waist down. On is ankle there is one big blotch about 8 inches long. He has a cough and cold and took two cap of Benzonatate for the last 3 days. Could this have caused this along with all his BP medicine and blood thinner meds?

Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your history as well as reviewed the attached photograph.
You seem to have developed vasculitis which has multiple causes.
It can be caused due to the medicines you are taking or due to the recent viral infection causing cough and cold.
If the rash is not associated with any other systemic symptoms like joint pains, abdominal pain, fever, blood in urine or stools then their is no need to worry as it will subside in few days.
If it is causing any symptoms or associated with other complaints you need to consult a doctor and get it evaluated.
