What Causes Red Bump Around A Small Cut On Labia Minora?

Question: I got a small cut on my labia minor three days ago and it seems to be getting worse instead of healing. There is a red bump around it, about a quarter inch in diameter. Does this mean it's infected? What should I do?
Brief Answer:
May need antibiotics.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. From your description of the appearance of the area, it does not necessarily indicate an infection. It may just be inflamed. However, it would be impossible to be sure of this without examination. Therefore, I suggest you see your doctor for confirmation. You may need a course of antibiotics.
I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
