What Causes Red Bumps On The Vagina While Treating Yeast Infection?
Question: I took monistat1 for a yeast infection 2 days ago, it burned and itched really badly and now i have red bumps and am a little bit sore around where it was inserted. I am worried that it may be an allergic reaction or something else, but I was not sore or bumpy prior to taking the medication. I am unsure of how to proceed.
Brief Answer:
Wash and dry twice a day
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns.
This is effect of yeast infection coupled with the monistat.
I suggest you stop monistat as of now. Instead sit in a small tub if warm water, salt and antiseptic. Do this twice a day. Dry the area clean with towel after getting out.
Doing this twice a day will cure the infection and also help in reducing itch.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards
