What Causes Red Dots All Over Upper Body?

Could be allergic reaction
Detailed Answer:
Hi Ms.XXXXXX,
Thanks for choosing health care magic.
I am suspecting allergic reaction to drugs you have been taking for the past few days.
However it would be better if you could upload a picture of the rash on the link provided on the right side of the page.
Also please describe in detail any associated symptoms along with the rash.
Coming to shingles, this rash appears as fluid filled grouped vesicles which involve skin or dermatome supplied by a particular nerve and is associated with sever pain and neuralgia.
Please get back with details and I can help you better.
For now, you can apply calamine lotion over the rash and take Tab Atarax 25 mg thrice daily.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

Antihistamines are drugs of choice
Detailed Answer:
Hi Ms.XXXXXX,
Welcome back.
As your rash is spreading it strengthens my suspicion of an allergic rash.
You can take the medications I have prescribed in my previous answer for the rash.
You have to see a medical professional if you have the following:
1. You are getting breathless
2. Your face is swollen.
3. You have fever or joint pain with sore throat.
4. Rash does not subside after taking antihistamines.
Few more tips:
1. Avoid scrubbing your skin.
2. Use gentle soap over the inflamed area.
3. Avoid application of cosmetics over inflamed area.
4. You can apply hydrocortisone 1 percent cream for faster recovery.
Your rash should reduce with the above treatment within 24 - 48 hours.
If not please get in touch with a nearby GP for further examination to rule out other causes.
I hope I have cleared all your doubts.
Please get back if any more queries.
Thanks.

Itching is due to release of histamine
Detailed Answer:
Hi Ms XXXXXX,
I understand your concern as the itchy rashes can be quite annoying.
This itchiness is due to release of histamine which causes inflammation and redness.
Hence antihistamines and steroids are useful in control of such rashes.
I suggest you avoid scratching them as much as possible.
Please continue the prescribed antihistamines and look out for signs which I have mentioned in my previous answer.
I am glad I could be of help.
Wishing you speedy recovery.
Thanks.
