BLood in stool can not be made out by naked eye.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for your query under HCM forum.
Red particles in stool itself is a scaring symptom. I understand your concern.
I have read your query carefully. I feel the red particles in stool seem to be the excreted chilli flakes you had consumed in last few days. Still to satisfy you let me tell you few facts about blood in stools.
1) blood in stool is mostly accompanied by some or other digestive complaints .. They can be -
- Either in form of hyper acidity, peptic ulcer.. which causes gastric bleeding .. the symptoms of burning / pain in upper abdomen along with nausea/ vomiting .
Here blood enters the digestive tract.. & is expressed in form of dark black stools.. ( melina)
- Problems in intestines... Some infections like amebiasis/ bacterial diarrhea./ Crown's disease. Here symptoms of loose/ constipated bowel/ cramps. movements accompany.& blood mixed with mucus in stools.
- fresh red blood is seen in lower bowel problems like fissure, bleeding piles.
* Diagnosis of blood in stools-
This is mostly done by microscopic/ chemical examination of stools.. where XXXXXXX red blood cells/ occult blood can be noted. Blood also dissolves in water .. can not be separated out by naked eye.
** You do not have either of above signs / symptoms. Any red colored food/ fibers / vegetables, fruits , salads ( like Beat root/ water melon, strawberries & red chilli flakes as you have..)are not absorbed in intestines .. so get excreted in stools. So it is confirmed to be the chilli flakes only.
* I would suggest you one thing here.
Red Chilli is just a spice used for making food tasty. You enjoy the food & so can eat sumptuous amount. It's all right once in a while. you are still youg also.
But in long run, habit of eating hot/ spicy food results in different bowel disorders.. like peptic ulceration. IN case of constipated patients such chilli particles can cause irritation of rectal/ anal mucus membrane.. cause burning, inflammation of the area/ fissure.
So please try to control chilli eating for avoiding problems in future.
I hope, the answer is both informative/ useful to you. Any follow up query is welcome.
