Question: My wife has red bumps on her left leg down by her ankle and up on her inner thigh. They hurt to the touch. She noticed them when she landed in XXXXXXX 2 days ago. She is a Flight Attendant.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. It could be due to a viral infection like herpes or could be due to an allergic reaction. I would request you to upload image of the affected areas. It will help me to evaluate the condition. Taking some antiallergic like cetirizine (or possibly better ones like fexofenadine or loratidine which are prescription medicines) should help. You also should apply some emollient like calamine lotion or some moisturizer like aloe vera lotion.
