What Causes Red Pimples On The Right Hand?

Question: I have these hard, red bumps on the first knuckle of my right hand. Left hand seems to be ok. There are two on each finger. They are painful to the touch or when I grab something. I had the one on my ring finger for about a week. Two days ago, the baby finger and then the middle finger.
