What Causes Red Rash On Bottom Lip Line After Having Food?

Question: HI I have a red (kind of spotty) rash along my bottom lip line. I have been using CORTIC-DS 1% Cream proscribed by my doctor for about 3 weeks and no sign of improvement. I have had this issue for a couple of months now. It fade then as soon as I eat it fleers up again and is bright red, It's not certain food that I eat its any meal. Do you think this is dermatitis? I am also taking B12 tablets. Please help!
Brief Answer:
It could be due to allergy or dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through the attached image. I would like to ask you if the rashes are painful. If painful, the rashes could be due to herpes. If not, they could either be due to some allergic reaction or due to dermatitis. A serum IgE test and a raised eosinophil count on a blood count could indicate that it is due to an allergic reaction. Otherwise it is probably due to dermatitis.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help.
No the rash isn't painful at all I can't feel it. I don't this its allergic reaction to something as I haven't changed anything I eat and I get this after every meal. I was watching what I was eating and keeping notes to see when it fleers up but it is from everything I was eating. If it is dermatitis how long would it take for the CORTIC-DS 1% Cream to work? Is there something better to use? I have been using it for 3 weeks now and no change at all. Today I have been using Bepanthen to see how that goes, do you think that would help?
If no change from that do you think I should try a cold sore cream like Vectavir? I have some of this as I have had cold sores before but not for a long time now.

Brief Answer:
Do not use Bepanthen or Vectavir. See a dermatologist.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to write back earlier.
Cortic DS and Bepanthen are of the same category and if it were to work, it should have already been effective by now. So, I would not suggest you to use Bepanthen. I do not think that it would help. Moreover, we do not suggest prolonged use unless there are specific indications.
I would not suggest the use of Vectavir which is antiviral. It could have been effective if was painful as in case of Herpes. So I do not consider it to be cold sores and would not insist you to try Vectavir.
In such a situation you should not try to self medicate any further. Please visit a dermatolgist who could clinically examine you and thereby reach a proper diagnosis so that proper treatment can be administered.
