Common rashes under the breast:
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Without being able to see the reddened area, the two most common types of rashes under the breast would be a fungal/yeast infection, or cellulitis (a bacterial infection of the skin).
If it is not painful, hot to touch, and you don't have a fever; and if you don't want to go in to an urgent care clinic to be seen yet, you can try an anti yeast/antifungal cream such as clotrimazole, sold at drug stores without prescription.
If however it is hot, and you are feeling ill, do not wait - go in to be seen promptly as you do not want to delay treatment if it is cellulitis.
Keep the breast and chest skin from touching each other. Wear a very good supportive bras, and if that isn't possible, put a layer of cotton between your breast and chest.
After bathing, XXXXXXX dry, then dry the area further with a blow dryer set on low.
Yeast and fungi like warm, moist, dark places. So anything you can do to prevent this type of condition is important.
Avoid sugar, sweets, alcohol while it is resolving.
Stop the triple antibiotic as it will not help a fungal infection.
I hope this information helps. Again - don't wait it it is hot, very red, and spreading.
