What Causes Red Spot On Penis Head?

Question: Hello, there is a red spot right under the head of my penis. I have checked the symptoms for herpes and it does not itch or hurt at all. Could this be a broken blood vessel?

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have noticed red spot beneath the glans penis .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1) Did you have unprotected sex very recently?
2) Did you masturbate vigorously?

The red spot beneath the glans penis is likely to be due to trivial injury to the frenulum due to either dry ,vigorous sex or due to rough handling of penis during masturbation .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Do not worry it will get cured within a week .

To answer question 1, I have had unprotected sex recently and this was about two weeks ago and that is when I started to notice the red spot. For question number 2, I would not say that I masturbate vigorously. Hopefully this gives you more details on my situation.

Also I want to confirm that my condition is not any type of STD?
