What Causes Red Spots On The Head Of The Penis After Intercourse?

Question: I had sex with someone and now I see some red spots on penis had. I did wear a condom. As such there is no pain.

The red spots that you have developed on head of the penis are due to allergic reaction to chemicals used in condom as a lubricant .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefotaxime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Can it be a reaction to talcum powder also ? I use it to keep that area dry but When I used it this Tuesday there was a strong burning type feeling. These spots also came on Tuesday later on.

Are you sure this has nothing to do with STI ?

We routinely get cases allergic to chemicals used as a lubricant in condoms .
