What Causes Reddish Rash On The Left Shoulder?

Question: Yes please. My wife got a small silver dollar sized rash on her left shoulder about a week ago (reddish but not bright red) that was somewhat itchy. It remained localized for several days but did not respond to anti-fungal cream. In the most recent 2 days it has spread in small patches over her back, neck (not as patchy - a broad field of tiny bumps) and sides. No fever, no pain but somewhat itchy and generally uncomfortable. No recent change in detergent or environmental factors... any thoughts on what it might be or suggestions for treatment?
Brief Answer:
Seems to be pityriasis rosea, upload pictures
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your history it seems your wife is having pityriasis rosea.
It is a self limiting disease associated with viral infection.
Is there any history of sore throat or upper respiratory tract infection prior to the eruption of the rash?
I would recommend you to upload the photographs of affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
