Question: my husband has a sore in the crease of his groin. It started out as a red spot, but is now a open sore with blood and pus. there appears to be three small holes in the center of the sore. I have tried to keep the sore clean and have applied neosporin. What should I do now? I will try to get him to a doctor tomorrow>

Brief Answer:
Folliculitis,might need antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi

From the description you have provided, it looks like your husband has developed a superficial folliculitis in the groin region.

You need to Keep the affected area clean and dry.

Wash the affected area with lukewarm saline water twice daily.

Continue to Apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin or mupirocin over the lesion twice daily.

He might need a course of oral antibiotics if the lesion still tends to persist or increase.

Taking oral anti inflammatory agent like ibuprofen or paracetamol along would help too.
You might need to see a nearby doctor if the lesion still tends to persist or increase.
