![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I have had fairly persistent several times per day bowel movements. Not at night. Now I have a redness and a lump in my left buttock cheek. Directions?
Brief Answer:
Need to see surgeon
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
I don't think these two symptoms are related but lump and redness In buttock indicate possible abscess so it should be surgically managed or at least antibiotics started. Bowel movements you describe, are not worrying sign. it should be managed with probiotics and healthy diet.
Wish you good health. Regards

There has been blood accompanying the bowel movements. Not necessarily in the stools (which may or may not be there) but fresh blood. Not a lot but at times there. Would this change your appraisal? Slight stomach pain as well at times. Living in stress as well. thank you...
Brief Answer:
Some tests should be done
Detailed Answer:
hi.
blood is in most cases is caused by hemorrhoids, polyps fisures or hard stool. these are benign conditions. however, some more serious disorders can't be ruled out for sure in your age so further tests should be done. at least red blood count and stool test for occult bleeding. this will tell us if colonoscopy is necessary so consult your doctor about these.
