Question: Left eyelid red and ichey I have tried Vaseline, hydrocortisone ointment and antibiotic ointment with no relief.

Redness and itching of eye lids is due to inflammation of eye lids called blepharitis.
Blepharitis occurs due to several reasons like bacterial infection, oil gland dysfunction, dry eyes etc.
Please follow the following measures to help relieve the symptoms
-Use a warm wash cloth on the affected eye for 15 minutes four times daily
- Clean your eye lashes properly with baby shampoo every day
- If you notice dryness in eyes, use artificial tear drops
-Continue applying the antibiotic ointment and hydrocortisone drops
- If itching is troublesome, take cetirizine 10 mg once daily
-Wash your hair properly with medicated shampoo

If the symptoms persist after 3 days, follow up with your ophthalmologist.
You will need procedure to completely open the oil gland on eye lids.
