What Causes Redness And Itching On The Leg?
It looks like an allergic spot.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.
I have looked closely into the picture you have attached with your query. It can be two things and what ever it is the treatment is going to me the same for both.
It can be :
1) A bug bite.
2) Allergic rash.
Treatment is simple and very effective, First, you have to apply a local anti allergic ointment available over the counter , it can be a hydrocortisone cream or any other anti allergic preparation.
Secondly you have to use an over the counter antihistamine like Cetirizine 10mg tablet daily for 5 days at night.
Try nor to scratch the area.
This being said , in my opinion even if you do not use any medication and just use a simple moisturizer this will still get better, as it already has gotten less itchy, but still it is better to use medication to prevent any complication.
If there is a possibility of bug exposure like your lawn, the place where you walk or any other thing, you can get yourself protected while around these areas.
I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

Hello,
thanks for writing back, i hope your itchy rash would have gotten better till now, regarding the bruises there can be many reasons ranging from trauma to coagulopathies or problems with blood clotting, i would like to know a few things, to guide you better.
1) How old are they?
2) How do they start? Is it the black spot since very start or it starts with reddish spot which later gets blue and then blackish?
3) Are they present on any other part of your body too?
4) Do they appear after some trauma or they just appear by them selves?

Aspirin and carbimazole can cause bruising
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Of the medication that you are prescribed with, aspirin is an antiplatelet drug, which causes easy bruising. Also carbimazole taken for thyroid has also bruising properties. You will need to discuss this with your treating doctor. A blood test showing decrease in the levels of platelets and also a clotting time test will confirm the cause for bruising.
