Question: Hi I have a redness around my anus area. My anus area is very hairy. It gets very itchy at times and I have been struggling with for approximately a year. It comes and goes and the severity increases at times. I have photos of my anal area and would like to send it. Furthermore I would also like to know what are the appropriate remedies. I been using castor oil to treat it for the last 4 days but itching has got worst, but i dont know if it's the oil or other factors.

Brief Answer:
Please, get it examined!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this redness around your anus. I have reviewed the image attached. There is a great deal of skin damage around the around. This may be suggestive of an infection. Just what curiosity purposes, what is your sexual orientation?

You will need to get a full medical examination. For the time leading up to this, I will recommend sitz baths. To do this, add 15ml of Iodine to 1.5L of lukewarm water in a bowl. Sit in the bowl containing the lukewarm water and Iodine for at least 15mins. Do this a minimum of three times a days and after every stool. This will help with the soreness and wound healing. For now, stop castor oil as it only makes it worse. Any moisture causes further irritation and worsens the itching. Report the progress of your symptoms to me in the next 3-4days for review and more insights. Also attach further images then for review as well.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
This mucous are for sure serous secretions from the wounds!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This looks like serous secretions from the wounds. Pruritus ahi simply means itches around the anus and it is not a disease. I will say you have that as a symptom but that’s not the disease. I will suggest you take another picture shortly after the sit baths as this area will be very clean and I can assess the extend of this.

I wish you well and hope to hear from you.
