What Causes Redness In The Scrotal Area?
Question: My scrotum is red in color but not painful. It's been like that for 2-3 days now. No apparent lumps or abnormalities. Slight itching on the sides but not on the actual scrotum or testicles. What could possible causes be ?

Thanks for query based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have dry red skin of scrotum which happens quite frequently in summer due to sweating and tight inner wares ,
Sometimes it is due to bacterial or fungal infection infection of scrotal and skin around .
Following general measures do help to resolve the issue
1) Clean and wash entire genital area with warm water .
2) Do not use soap or any other shampoo for cleaning
3) Apply topical anti fungal and anti bacterial cream available over the counter
4) Use loose inner wares
There is nothing to be worried about .It will get resolved within a week .
