I have itch and burn area in my groin as in picture with little redness
Brief Answer:
Looks like fungal infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query and picture. It looks like fungal infection. Avoid soaps and irritants to wash the area as it can irritate more. You can use warm water or saline for washing. Keep the area dry also. Trim the hair if possible.
In such case i would suggest ointments containing anti fungal agents like miconazole and corticosteroid like hydrocortisone for local application. This is available as over the counter in brands like daktarin. Better to avoid underwear and wear loose clothes for some days.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Can i use betnovate cream and wash with dettol water. Can this be herpes?
Brief Answer:
Betnovate alone can worsen this.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
Betnovate which is a corticosteroid only cream which can worsen this. You can use one with combination of antifungal agents like miconazole. Avoid dettol as it can irritate more. Use just saline or warm water.
Herpes usually appear as blistering rashes initially. Do you had any thing like that. ?
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.

Brief Answer:
My view is still fungal infection.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.
Thank you for your follow up query.
I have gone through your pictures. It still looks like fungal infection. You can apply candid b lotion. You can also take anti histamines like cetirizine for itching. If you had protected sex with out contacting with body fluids of your partner then there is no chance of herpes. You can rule out herpes by doing herpes 1 and 2 blood test.
If you were my patient i would suggest ointments with broad coverage like Panderm plus containing anti fungal like terbinafine anti bacterial like ofloxacin & ornidazole and corticosteroid like clobetasol for local application for such condition. Initially you can try with candid b.
