default
Posted on Mon, 19 Jan 2015
Question: I just looked in the mirror and noticed that the outer half of my left eye is blood red. I have no pain. Didn't injure it, as far as I remember. Didn't notice it last night before bed.

Brief Answer:
It is spontaneous hemorrhage..Would get resolved!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this blood you have noticed in your eye. Foe sure it can be frightening. The good news is that most of this is spontaneous and often resolves without the need of any specific treatment. My recommendation is to stay calm, observe and this would clear progressive within 7-10days. Unless your vision becomes poor, it fails to resolves within 10days or you develop pain, there is no reason to seek further medical attention at this time.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
