What Causes Redness On Cheeks When Suffering From Fever?

Question: My 7 month old daughter has red cheeks and 99.5 F fever. Is it serious enough for doctor visit. Other than that no big symptoms beside a little cranky and fights sleep sometimes.
Brief Answer:
Red Cheeks
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
Seems at this point like she is at the start of a viral illness. The fever is not very high and the red cheeks don't mean much at this time. If the fever persists for more than 2 days, or something wlae develops (ie: irritability, decreased appetite), I recommend consulting with your doctor.

do you think it could just be teething? she hasn't gotten any teeth yet
Brief Answer:
Teething
Detailed Answer:
It is very possible. She's at the right age for it.
Still, fever beyond 2 days, or any additional symptoms, would be a good reason to consult your doctor.
