What Causes Redness On Labia Majora?
Question: I am 73 year old female and sometimes have a dark red color on my labia majora. There are no discharges or burning, but this happened before but it cleared up on it's own without any medicine. Now it is back again. It starts in one area and then it gets to both sides of my labia majora. Any sugestions on what I should do? Or what is it?

May be congestion
Detailed Answer:
hello and welcome to health care forum.
after going through your query it seems that its nothing significant as you have no burning sensation , itching or discharges. Can you tell me whether you are sexually active or not ? it can be due to congestion of labia majora . Regards Dr Manisha Jain

I had a very sexual life with my husband until he had a prostate surgery 3 years ago and had one of his testicles removed last year. He used viagra and a pump and ring to keep his erection, but I had issues with this method and now we have not had sexual relations for about 6 months. I had pain with this new method. I do not have any other partners. We occasionally have oral sex but nothing more.
Brief Answer:
benign lesion
Detailed Answer:
Seeing your history it seems like an incidental lesion due to congestion caused by rubbing while sitting or walking.
Don't take it seriously but next time you develop the lesion please click a picture and upload the same so that I can have a better assessment.
But as of now I don't think there is anything to worry.
Take care.
