What Causes Redness On Nose After Stopping The Usage Of Chemotherapy Cream?

default
Posted on Tue, 26 May 2015
Question: I used a chemo cream prescribed by my dermatologist on my nose to help rid it of a pre cancer. It has been two months plus since I stopped using it and my nose is so red that it resembles a clown nose. I am in NY now and won't be back in FL to see my doctor for six months. Any suggestions? It is quite noticeable and I have become very self-conscious about it........

Brief Answer:
Take anti histaminics drugs by consulting a physician or ENT surgeon.......

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your problem thoroughly and i will do my best to solve your query.
First of all, i would like to know what was your diagnosis and which kind of chemo cream you were using...Also tell me whether you were taking any medications orally or not. Also tell me whether you have started and stopped that cream by yourself or with doctor's advise.
I would like to tell you that as you have stopped that cream 2 months before and then you are having red nose, so it mostly is not due to that cream but due to some other allergic reaction or like so.
So if i were your doctor, i would prescribe you oral anti histaminic drug with topical medications and also suggest you to not use any kind of facial make up or anything over face. As these drugs are prescribed drugs, you can consult any physician nearby to you. Don't get stressed and be relaxed, it will be fine very soon.
